rant alert.

im sure uve read in the news recently bout the dude who fell onto the mrt tracks and died... his family was sad (of coz) and the papers highlighted their plight plus the fact that they are very poor... so the donations poured in at his wake and they hit $500,000.

ok problem i have with this is that, as far as the man's actions prior to his death show, it appears that he committed suicide... im not going to judge him by that and say omg wats wrong with him, he should treasure life and wat he did was wrong... im not going to 2nd-guess a dead man and try to speculate on why he suicided... this is something we'll nvr noe but as far as im concerned, i think it was a suicide lar.

the point is wtf are singaporeans thinkin by donating this much money to his family... like wat kind of msg are we putting across here... if im jobless, and ive got my wife and 5 kids to feed, but im running out of money, wat do i do? i jump in front of a car... no wait, i jump in front of a train (for the added publicity) and with my sacrifice, my children and wife will lead a good life. huh???

the wife says yes, she will put most of the money in a fixed deposit and pay off her debts and most of it will go to the children's education... wow great, considering most pple do have debts to pay off every month... $500,000 is a lot of money. wat is stopping them fr leavin the country with the money now?

the ultimate pt i want to make is why are singaporeans giving their money like this to this family? there are many families like this one around... like, who doesnt need extra money lar... my solution would be instead of the money being directly given to the family, maybe it should have been given to the MCYS or watever organisation that gives hand-outs... this way, u noe the money will not be inappropriately used and u also share ur wealth among all those who need it.

yea last nite went back to hall for mini merlion (mini coz i was driving) session and at the same time celebrate soozy bday... nice soozy treated us with chicken nuggets X 100 fr uncle vincent... so nice!! happy bday!! he still owes us a hockey treat thou.

then the janet did a very un-janet thing and went to ask some freshie an awkward question... awkward not for her lar, but awkward for me. -_-' i guess it was something that i would say haha but it was just very diao coming fr her lor. (ok i admit i mentioned this only so that she feels bad.)

anyway the youtube offering i have is this... 'dream a dream' fr charlotte church (when she was decent) and billy gilman (a cute kid)... charman might want to give this a miss lol.

so lately ive not been loafing all that much... i been helpin my aunt at her maid agency... cept its not 100% maids but 50% maids and 50% other foreign workers like construction workers... oh well, its a combi of admin + date entry + delivery-boy... at least im not that bored now... and i get to drive around quite a bit too so thats a plus point.

anyway at places like maid agencies, u see ur fair share of ugly singaporeans/maids... im not sayin literally ugly but ya noe, character-ugly... the other day there was this maid who when she arrived in singapore, u could consider her plump... but now shes like so bloody thin...

the employer (ugly singaporean lady boss who surprisingly looks pretty good haha) makes her sleep at 2-3am and wake at 6am EVERY DAY. like wtf lar... then her hands were like... i dunno man... all the skin were coming out... apparently, its some over-exposure to soapy water (washing dishes?)... then she had like scalds on her arms and at stomach area (wtf?)...

my aunt couldnt stand it so she got the maid to write somthing sayin like oh pls let me go home! if not ill kill myself... just so that she(aunt) has an excuse to send her(maid) back to indon to save her(maid) from her(employer)... then the employer was still makin a lot of noise like SHE HOW TO GO HOME?! NO MONEY HOW TO GO HOME?!... my aunt said she(aunt) will bear all costs then the employer also nothing to say...

but WAIT there is a twist in the story... apparently some other lady visited the employer and told her 'eh? whos that walkin around ur house? i keep seeing a girl walk here walk there'... then the employer super scared like shitting her panties scared... actually went to check on the maid (who is stayin at my aunt's place now) coz get this... she tot the maid died or committed suicide then now come back and HAUNT her.

hows that for a guilty conscience?

anyway after that episode, the employer is now like Aiyah okay lar she want to go home let her go home lor... ^_^

ok end of interesting story at work.

so now when im bored, i just check out vids of my fave songs on youtube... amazing how much time u could spend on youtube =)... here's my fave cardigans' song 'carnival'... its a live version, sounds pretty darn good... and its definitely better than lovefool =)





i will never noe... coz u will never show...

so janet showed me a youtube vid of this dude singing 'if u leave' then suddenly i had this flashback moment and i knew i had to find that ep and the EXACT scene where the song played during the O.C. when anna left seth... it was the saddest moment for me ever... i mean, i din even blink when *spoiler alert* marisa died lar.

i told janet if she found that scene on youtube, id love her forever... but turns out i found it myself so erm... i love myself forever woot.

here it is, for fans of OC and/or anna... like omg lar, if she din like him then WHY IS SHE CRYING.






but who noes... maybe one day we'll be perfect for each other.

fuckin owned by the haze... sore throat + cough + itchy eyes... add to that, sickish and weakish and sianish feelings and u noe why ive been down the past few days.

the reason why this 2nd post did not come sooner was becoz simply there wasnt much funny or positive stuff to happen in the days since the 1st :p well i guess the big news is the revelation on charman's blog on janet's newfound status of 'trying to find a bf in the next 2 months b4 leaving sch and going to work'... which shouldnt be news coz i was trying to reveal that on my msn nick 2 wks back but got stopped by janet herself...

i guess 2 wks was enuff time for her to come to terms with the fact that she is now desperate indeed.

that is not to say that being desperate is a bad thing. its not. i think.

i used to think that sigh, after The Monotonous Life of a Student, we will embark on a whole new journey... The Monotonous Life of a Working Adult. i did not accurately anticipate the transition period betw the two but now i noe there is this The Monotonous Life of a Graduate Seeking Employment. it is not fun, it reeks of total boredom and most of all, it is not EVEN funny.

earlier on (like a month b4), i attribute the lack of interview call-ups to my admittedly lacklustre efforts at being called up... however of late, suspicions have crept into my head that maybe... just maybe... my MIGHTY bachelor of arts degree might count for nothing! like how science degrees are also not much sought after nowadays, to the pt that our science graduates have to fight it out with diploma students for the same jobs! horror of horrors!

i was scared for like 10mins... then i decided that nah im just not trying hard enuff... hopefully ill get some kind of interviews soon ^_^



PS: i just want to openly say that for all my shameless plugging of this blog on msn, it has received like super little tags/comments lar. its embarrassing to say the least but i think its coz pple are shy lar. i dont have a site meter but i bet i just hit a million hits. or two.

some of u may noe i have this old blog at opendiary... i opened up all the entries to public liao... so if ure interested bout wat happened to me for the past 5 yrs... fr b4 NS (when i liked this girl whose name synonymises with a pickup) thru army til hall... not much from the past 2 yrs thou coz i was simply too lazy and i tot bloggin was passe... only bout a dozen entries and the latest entries were kinda emo and sad... but most of everything else in front is really funny... like LOL and LMAO and ROFL laughing... i kid u not... so if ure bored or just want to check up on me, go ahead and read all 300+ entries... u wont regret it.

anyway, why am i starting to blog again? pple like hh might point out interesting facts and speculate like hey! every time keywin becomes interested in a girl, he will start to blog again... so this means... but of coz, thats not true lar... i blog becoz... well... erm... er... nevermind... coz i really love blogging... and i love to write... and pple like to read wat i write... and... stuff like that.
